Out now!

I couldn't be arsed to gratuitously twitch the Pec at Cossington Meadows, or do any proper birding, so I amused myself this afternoon by doing this instead...

Sad to see there was nothing on seperating Sparrowhawk from the peckletonii race of Goshawk. These birds are notoriously difficult to tell apart. I should know I drive past Peckleton at least twice a week and remain stumped at how to split them.

I heard recently that lots of Goshawks and Merlins were claimed again in Leicestershire.
Firstly Goshawks don't exist in Leicestershire fact!! and secondly if you see a Merlin In VC55 you are a very lucky bugger!!!
